Mindfulness for Educators
Margaret offers Mindfulness Seminars (Educator Professional Development/Teacher Institute Days, Wellness Institute Days), MBSR, and virtual Mindfulness Sessions for administrators, teachers, and staff of Illinois School Districts.
Mindfulness Midwest was approved as a Professional Development Provider by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) https://www.isbe.net/Documents/prof-dev-provider-list.pdf in December, 2021, and is integrated into the PD+ system https://www.isbe.net/pdplus.
In 2019, ISBE partnered with external stakeholders to begin developing a new professional development system, PD+, for educators and professional development providers. PD+ will be an interactive system that will house information about available professional development for Illinois educators and professional development providers. ISBE is currently in the process of building the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of the system. The external stakeholder group is providing valuable feedback on the functionality of the system. Please view this webpage for updates regarding the progress and features of the system. Once PD+ is live and ready for use, ISBE will be sending further communication and information.

Professional Development Hours & CEUs
Mindfulness Midwest is an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Development Provider. ISBE PEL Licensed Educators, School Service Personnel, Administrators, and ESL Career and Technical Educators can receive up to 27.25 Professional Development hours (based upon attendance).
Illinois LPCs, LCPCs, LFMTs, MSWs, and LCSWs can earn up to 28.25 CEUs taking the MBSR Course through The Center for Psychological Services. CEUs granted will be dependent on attendance.
Additional fee for processing PDs and CEUs is $25.00
